Studio parziale di Cavallo. Oil on paper. Left rear lateral side. It belongs to the group of horse studies donated to the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara by Giuseppe Conti, the artist’s heir. The work is connected to a painting, now unidentified, depicting the “Disfida di Barletta,” of which the cartoon executed in pencil and charcoal remains in the Carrara collection.
