Artificial Intelligence / Artistic Innovation. Experiences, Education, and Opportunities in Artistic Research through AI explores the relationship between artificial intelligence and creative innovation, placing artistic research at its core through a range of professional experiences, methodological approaches to education and research, and reflections on future perspectives.
The meeting highlights how AI tools–constantly evolving–are transforming the process of creative research, while remaining dependent on human input. Critical reflections emerge on ethics, copyright, and dataset bias, including their potential to exacerbate social inequalities. At the same time, AI is discussed as a supportive tool capable of expanding creative possibilities, prompting further consideration of awareness and control within artistic processes.
The seminar is a public event and includes a session in which Alessandro Capozzo presents the outcomes of artistic experiments developed by students of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. This presentation serves as a synthesis of their experience in the workshop “Image. Edit. Tell. AI.: Narratives and Visions for Scalo Farini,” also led by Capozzo on 30 April and 7 and 14 May 2025.
Both the seminar and the workshop are part of the educational project “Where AI Dares: Theoretical and Practical Tools for Navigating AI” (curated by Alessandra Castellani and Fabio Iannotta) and are promoted by the School of Communication and Art Education, the School of Artistic Design for Industry, and the School of New Technologies for Art at the Brera Academy.
